How To Get A Lot Of Traffic On Your Website
Step #1. Publish Relevant and Good Content

Quality content created specifically for your target customer will increase the traffic on the page, which will boost the credibility and popularity of your site. Fine-tune your skills in writing on the internet.
Identify and target each page on your website with a specific keyword phrase. Think about how your reader can search for search terms such as:
Reaching search engine rankings for different keyword phrases is very difficult for a webpage— unless those phrases are very similar. A single page could list “biomedical engineering work” as well as “biomedical engineering professions.” It is unlikely to rank’ student affairs’ and’ student dean’ or’ gender discrimination’ and’ violence reporting procedures’ with a single page.
If you want to rank several keyword phrases with your website, for each keyword phrase you are targeting, you will need to make a separate webpage.
Once a page selects your keyword phrase, ask these questions:
- Can I use part or all of the keyword phrases in the page URL (by using keywords in folders)?
- Can I use part or the entire keyword phrase in the page title?
- Can I use part or the entire keyword phrase in page headings and subheadings?
You can boost your search engine ranking by answering yes to these questions. Nonetheless, be organic and user-friendly. For example, you don’t want the word “engineering” to appear in the URL three or more times or repeat the phrase Northern Lights on the title page and each heading. Step #2. Update Your Content Regularly
You’ve probably noticed that content is something we feel pretty strong. Search engines are also doing this. Regularly updated content is considered one of the best site relevance indicators, so be sure to keep it fresh. Check your content on a set schedule (e.g. semesterly) and update as necessary.
Besides page URL, name, and headings, the content of the search engine rankings is most important. Repeat the keyword phrase several times over the entire page — once or twice in the opening and closing paragraphs, and two or four times over the rest of the content.
Don’t forget to use bold, italics, heading tags (especially an H1), and other emphasis tags to emphasize these keyword phrases— but don’t overdo it. You still want to read your style of writing and language naturally. Never settle for SEO good writing. For the client, the best pages are written, not for the search engine.
Step #3. Metadata
Each page contains a space between the < head > tags when designing your website to insert metadata or information about the content of your page. If you have a CMS page originally produced by the UMC web team, this information will be pre-populated for you. But, when the page changes over time, you need to check and update Metadata.
Title metadata is responsible for the search engine results page titles shown at the top of a browser window and as the headline.
Metadata description is the textual description that a browser may use in the search return of your page. Think of it as the window display of your site — a succinct and enticing explanation of what’s inside, with the intention of attracting people to enter.
There will generally be two complete sentences in a successful meta description. You may not always use your meta description for search engines, but the option is important to give them.
Keyword metadata is rarely used when tabulating rankings for search engines. You should know your keyword phrases already, however, so adding them to your keyword metadata does not hurt. You want a variety of phrases to be included. As a common rule try to keep it to around 3-7 sentences with 1-4 words in each paragraph. A great example would be a degree in computer science.
Step #4. Have a link-worthy site
Concentrate on building relevant links in the document. Instead of making links to “press here,” try to write the destination name. “Click here” has no search engine utility beyond the attached URL. Always use concise links when referencing keywords — it not only improves search engine optimization but also adds value to your users, including those with disabilities or using screen readers.
Step #6. Use alt tags
Use alt tags or alternative text descriptions to always describe your visual and video media. They allow search engines to locate your crucial page — especially for those using text-only browsers or screen readers.
Everybody wants to improve their exposure to the internet. A lot of people are looking for shortcuts. The truth is that SEO is more of a long game and anyone who promises fast results should be greeted with a high level of skepticism
